Hey hey,
I was on a bus stuck in traffic heading into NYC, so even though I’m not the first to do this and won’t be the last, I did it anyway.
You might have seen this in The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, where he draws a boa constrictor digesting an elephant, or in the many cartoons from Demetri Martin, where he plays with shapes and meaning. It’s a fun exercise that I’ve seen done on social media, and something you can do too!
Take a shape, look at it from different angles and perspectives, and see what it says.
Here’s what I did.
If this didn’t give you a crick in the neck, try it yourself with your own shape! And also, some fun news! I am selling signed prints for the first time! I just spent too long in the post office sending my first few out! So proud of myself. You can find the prints here! (Plus another hand-drawn limited run.)
One print is my first attempt at a three-circle Venn diagram!
And yes, I have been told that farts can also wake you up.
The second print is about emails!
They came out great, so if you’d like a print, go for it. It would mean so much. And as always, thank you for being here.

the shapes made me laugh so hard! I have got to try this.
I really felt the meeting vs emails print :) Love doing stuff like your shape observation - the incoming hug one was a good one.
