Congratulations! We made it to another Earth Day!
The whole of humanity (minus the astronauts) with their billions of personal viewpoints and opinions, live on Earth. And yet, at the same time, our planet, as its own entity, feels to me like a blank slate on which to smear my worries and anxieties. If it seems a bit egotistical to try and anthropomorphize the Earth itself, don’t worry, there are plenty of people who want to do even worse to it.
Anyway, it’s time to talk cartoons. I’ve drawn a few about Earth Day for The New Yorker…
So I thought, why not teach you how to draw your own Earth Day cartoon! Grab a pencil or pen and some paper, and let’s go!
