In honor of Monday, let’s talk about office materials. Post-its, specifically.
Post-its apparently weren’t a given. It took two scientists at 3M - one (Spencer Silver) to accidentally invent a weak adhesive, and another (Art Fry) to realize it could be used to bookmark songs in his hymnal. Since then, though, Post-its have stuck around.
They are everywhere: in schools, in offices, and in homes. They are also generously handed out at conferences and trainings - which was where I found myself one day. For hours. It didn’t take me long to realize a Post-it is a perfect cartoon panel. I’m sure the training was great, but this is what I got out of it.
It wasn’t long before I got scientific (and blurry.)
And silly…
…aaaaand here are some new never-seen-before Post-it cartoons!
Happy Monday!
