Work, Work, Work
And More Work
Maybe because the school year was coming to a close and there was an end in sight as well as a lot to do in order to reach that end, I was contemplating the nature of “work.” More specifically, I was contemplating how I feel about work. Even more specifically, I was drawing cartoons about how I feel about work while I was supposed to actually be doing the work.
That’s pretty much all you need to know about me.
The following three cartoons seemed to resonate with others, making me feel less alone and more understood. Maybe, just maybe, I’m not the only one who struggles with getting things done. Or, put differently, maybe I’m not the only one who gets things done in their own way.
And either way, enjoy a few cartoons.
Another piece of work I’ve been putting off is actually coming up with a marketing plan for my upcoming picture book! My publisher helps a lot, but a lot is on the author to do.
There’s an old saying that preorders are super important. So important, in fact, that I truly appreciate all of you who have already preodered a copy (or even multiple copies!)
So, if you ever wondered what might happen when a kindergarten teacher dragging students along on those cute loops crashes into a dog walker with all those adorable puppies, this book is here to answer all your questions. Based on a close-to-almost true story!
Actual marketing plan incoming, but for now, grab a copy by clicking here! Pre-Order the Jumble!
Thank you!

As Governor Le Petomaine said in Blazing Saddles: work, work, work, work, work!
At its best, work is that thing I do because it blots out the whole world while I'm doing it. Suddenly I wake up after four hours of inspired labor, and have created a bunch of Pygmalions I'm madly in love with. Alternately, sometimes they're offspring I immediately disavow. Parenthood is precarious.
