This morning the last few lines of James Joyce's The Dubliners went through my mind:
"...the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling...upon all the living and the dead."
I know this isn't what Joyce intended, but my brain applied it to the election, and the snow will keep faintly falling and falling faintly on all of us, regardless of vote counts.
Also, "snow falling faintly and faintly falling" is, in an of itself, such a soothing image (and phraseology).
Cucumber-infused moat! This is perfect for my D&D groups! They will laugh and laugh! Thank you so much for this! I needed it!
My pleasure!!
Free Bad Decision Donuts. It’s the morning of Nov 6th so I can’t laugh at anything. But, if I could, this would be it.
Hahaha - "You're supposed to grow up so fast..." :D
The cucumber-infused moat made me think of Hendricks gin . . .
The “latte” and “eavesdrop” ones are my favorite. Thanks for making me smile on a glum day.
Thank you! Happy to brighten your mood just a bit.
I concur! Also I have to confess – I am a compulsive eavesdropper. And I will break into conversations in cafes. I have no shame!
Every office needs the person that tries to kill everyone with things like "bad decision donuts."
the baby one hits real hard right now with my 4 month old 😂

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful quote and imagery. I'm looking forward to some peaceful snowfall in these coming months.
