Ah, kindergarten. All I remember of the time is naps on a blanket and graham crackers. Not a bad combo. I guess the only difference nowadays is I take my naps on a couch and munch on sourdough bread with a sprinkle of sea salt and a drizzle of EVOO.
Love this post! A friend of mine is an elementary and middle school art teacher at a private school. She exhausts herself every day with tasks beyond teaching, nearly losing all passion for her job. All I can do for her is to take her out to eat what she loves on weekends. Your post made me feel your passion for teaching, and you're the kind of teacher I always hoped to meet during my school days but never did. I genuinely hope the joyful moments in your work outweigh the unhappy ones.
I'm not a teacher, but this resonates with me because I've babysitted little kids many times. I must admit, It is exhausting. And being a kindergarten teacher must be more exhausting. Hang in there!
I was a high school teacher but the ideas resonate with me. I'm not sure how I would cope with the administrative demands today.
High school must have been challenging and rewarding in its very own way!
Happy new year!
Thank you!!

Like I said, nothing new under the sun.
Don't you wish the phrase was "nothing new under the sky"? Far more accurate. Under the sun is too flat-Earthy. ;-)
This is the million dollar question.
